Wow we're totally slacking over here...it has been far too long since we've posted. In our defense we have been so busy traveling and exploring, oh and being lazy! Anyway, we wanted to share with you our day on the water(back in September) when we went kayaking on Lake Lure. 

Lake Lure is a beautiful teeny tiny town in Rutherford County N.C. It is a quaint mountain town that only boasts one small inn and a few restaurants. It's beauty however is unmatched for this area. Lake Lure was the location for the film Dirty Dancing and for several other films and shows. It is a lake with mountain vistas on all sides which makes for a fantastic place to kayak and explore. If you look up from the lake you'll see the very popular Chimney Rock (formerly State) Park. When you're in the area you should definitely check it out!
