Arnold Adventures

Although we are rolling out of town this weekend for good, we cannot help but appreciate everything this town and the university has done for us. We will both miss the beautiful campus that we have spent countless hours tailgating, exploring, and working these last few years. Here is a taste of Mississippi State University through our eyes.

Although we are leaving this place will be a part of our lives forever.
We even got engaged on this campus and it will forever be engraved on our hearts.

Big news out of our camp! We're taking this show on the road, all the way to, wait for it.......

SOUTH CAROLINA

This move has been a long time coming. We thought we would be leaving Mississippi in the spring of 2012 but things did not happen that way. With that said we have had an amazing four(Jen) to five(Mike) years in Mississippi and if we had not stayed here then we probably wouldn't be able to take this amazing opportunity. Good things come to those who wait!

We couldn't be more thrilled to be moving to a new state(Jen's home state) and to be starting a new chapter of our lives! South Carolina is one of the most geographically diverse states in the nation with beautiful mountains, beaches and plenty in between! Starting in September we'll be sharing a generous amount of adventures pertaining to the state of SC and the surrounding areas!

This past weekend we took a little afternoon jaunt out to Caledonia, Mississippi where we decided to check out the Country Pumpkins Pumpkin Patch! Mike and I have bought pumpkins every year we've been together and carved them! I had heard from several people that we should go there so we decided to see what the fuss was all about! They had pumpkins galore from tiny to huge you could find whatever you needed(pumpkin and gourd wise). There was also a lot of activities for families and children. We enjoyed our little outing to the pumpkin patch and were actually impressed at the size of the place. We have something different in mind with the pumpkins this year though and we have started them but will hopefully finish later today! We ended out the evening with a trip to one of our favorite restaurants in the area, Huck's Place where we had the amazing Crawfish Nachos!! In all, it was a perfect fall afternoon followed by a gorgeous full moon!

Holding an apple gourd. I think these are so cool!

Wow I am behind...here is is almost February and I have yet to blog about my holiday trip. Oh well I have been busy and life is getting crazier by the minute! As you can see on the map above we had quite the journey over the holiday season. It was about 3200 miles and a lot of fun. We spent time with friends and family and it was just good to get out of here for a while. I have been recovering from this journey for a few weeks lol.

On another note, the new year has come and gone and I am back on the healthy train(although I really never got off). I maintained my weight loss over the holidays(YAY). And I am well on my way to making my January fitness goal I set for myself which entails going to the gym 20 times this month. Which I should surpass! The scale has not budged even though I have eaten like a bird for the most part. I have to figure this out soon before I go crazy!! I have started going to Zumba again twice a week and I am so enjoying it. If you know me then you know I love to dance so this is more fun for me than traditional workouts.

Other than that nothing is going on with me. On the other hand Mike is busier than ever. He has worked harder than I have ever seen him. He has been staying up late finishing his thesis and getting ready for his defense which is scheduled for Feb 3! I am so proud of him already and cannot wait for all of this to be over so he can have this off of his chest.
I am going to try to blog more especially because I think this year is going to be important. Hopefully we will move and start a new chapter of our lives together what I believe will be the most important one yet!
